The main goal of this project is to establish an integrated framework for energy and facility management within smart buildings for the Malaysian market. The focus is on identifying the most appropriate instruments to bring together both real time data coming from the Building Management System and quantitative/qualitative information about building to ensure the efficiency of the management process. Menara TM, one of the icons of Kuala Lumpur and the headquarter of the Telekom Malaysia Group, is used for the Proof of Concept (POC). The tower is among the world’s 50 tallest buildings with its 77 storeys and 1.6 million ft². The BIM model pursues the objective to organize the knowledge of the building collecting the main information to streamline management processes. The objective is to correlate data coming from the building repository and the energy monitoring platform in order to obtain a powerful analysis tool for energy and facility management.
